2 cups lukewarm milk
4 egg yolks, beaten
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1 pkg. active dry yeast
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 egg whites, very stiffly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle yeast over lukewarm milk and stir to dissolve. Add beaten egg yolks. Sift together flour, sugar, and salt. Add flour mixture to yeast mixture. Stir in melted butter and combine thoroughly. Fold one fourth of the egg whites into the batter. Carefully fold in the remainder of the egg whites. Let the mixture stand in a warm place until doubled in bulk. Bake on a hot waffle iron. Sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar and serve hot.
