1 stick of butter (could use Pam)
1 large onion, chopped
2 heads of cabbage, sliced and diced
1 or two rings of sausage (I use smoked turkey), sliced about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick
2 boxes of Mrs. T's pierogies

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter (or spray pan with Pam), saute chopped onion, add cabbage. While this is cooking down, cook pierogies according to box directions. Add sausage after cabbage has cooked a bit. When texture of cabbage is to your liking and just before serving, add cooked pierogies.

This is a recipe from the Martha Stewart show and I've served it several times. It has always been a big hit. Cook the cabbage to the consistency that you like it. I like it a bit crunchy!
