1 C whole wheat (cleaned)
3 C Water

Directions:
Directions:
Cooke slowly for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Add water (like when cooking beans) as needed.
Salt optional, but add after wheat is cooled.

I cook mine the night before, for breakfast the next morning. If some is left over refrigerate or freeze. May be eaten with sugar & cream. We eat ours with sugar & milk

Irene use to have this in the fridge in the winter and sometime would feed it to the cats, she would put bacon grease in it and milk and the cats would go nuts over it.
