1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup real bacon bits
1/2 medium onion, diced
1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
8-10 jalapeņos, diced (optional)

Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat. In a medium bowl, whisk together egg, salt and pepper. Place ground beef, bacon bits, onion, Worcestershire sauce, jalapeņos and bread crumbs into the mixture. With hands or a fork, mix until well blended. Form into 6-8 patties approximately 3/4 inch thick. Place patties on the prepared grill. Cover and cook 6 to 8 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.
