4 squares chocolate
3/4 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
4 eggs,beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped nuts

Frosting:
2 cups sugar
2 squares chocolate
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup white Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate and shortening from first part of recipe; add sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla and nuts. Place in 11x15 pan. Bake 350º for 25-30 minutes.

Frosting:
Mix frosting ingredients and bring to boil and cook for 1 minute. Cool and beat and spread on brownies.
