2 quarts garden ripe tomatoes, about 32
3 green peppers
2 onions
1 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon salt
2 teaspoons celery see
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground allspice
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Quarter tomatoes. Grind onion, bell peppers and all ingredients. (Nana Emma used a hand grinder.) These days a food processor is the tool of choice. Place all ingredients in a heavy bottomed stock pot. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 5 hours, stirring occasionally. Can in hot sterile jars.

Every summer the garden would explode with tomatoes and peppers. Nana Emma, and later Nana Margie, made this every year. It is delicious on meats.
