1 c. sugar, divided
1 1/2 c. water.
12 marshmallows, quartered.
2 T. margarine
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 T. cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts.

Directions:
Directions:
Cook 1/2 c. sugar and water for 5 minutes. Put in casserole having cover and top with 12 marshmallows, quartered.

Cream 1/2 c. sugar with margarine. Sift together flour, salt, cocoa, baking powder. Add to sugar mixture alternately with 1/2 c. milk to which 1 tsp. vanilla has been added. Lastly, stir in chopped nuts. Drop by spoonful over marshmallows and cover. Bake 45 minutes at 350º. Serve with whipped cream.
