1/2 C butter or margarine
1/2 C shortening
1 t vanilla
1 pkg lemon cake mix

Directions:
Heat oven to 350º.
Beat egg, shortening, margarine, vanilla and half of cake mix. (If dough seems too dry, add 1 to 1 1/2 t. water.
Shape dough into balls. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet. Sprinkle cookies with sugar.
