2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 cup corn syrup
2 cups raw peanuts
1 T butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
In a pot with a wooden spoon, stir together sugar, water, salt and corn syrup, just until sugar dissolves. Heat, without stirring, to 236º on candy thermometer. Add raw peanuts; stir. Heat to 305º, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, add butter and baking soda; stir well. While still frothing, pour into buttered 15X10 pan and spread evenly. Cool and break into pieces.
