1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup cornmeal
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp.salt
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup oil
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/3 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º. Grease bottom and sides of a loaf pan, set aside. Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, oil & egg. Add to the dry ingredients. Stir just until ngredients are moist.
Bake 25 min.or until golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Run a knife around outside edge to loosen bread. Invert on plate and slice. Serve warm
