2 c all-purpose flour
1/4 c dark brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
8 T. (1 stick) butter, softened
1 c applesauce
2 eggs
1 c raisins
1/2 c chopped walnuts

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients except raisins and nuts. Mix well until blended. Stir in raisins and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 8x4x3 inch loaf pan. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes.
