Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 1/2 lbs. ground beef
3 cloves garlic, crushed (garlic powder may be used if preferred)
1 1/2 T. paprika
3 T. chili powder or 3 diced chili pepper pods
1 T. cumin seed
1 T. salt
1 tsp. white pepper
3 cups water

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef, add seasonings and water. Cover and cook 3 hours slowly, stirring occasionally. Add a little water, depending how thick you prefer. If you like beans with it, now is the time to add your cooked pinto beans and cook another 20 to 30 minutes.

Note: This freezes well. I also use the cooked chili meat mixture in making enchiladas.
