2 medium potatoes, diced
dice a few onion slices
1 small carrot, diced fine
1/4 cup celery, diced (approximately)
salt and pepper
milk, half & half or cream
Directions:
Directions:
Put all ingredients except milk in a large pot. Cover with water and boil until tender. Add a chunk (1 T.) of butter. Add the milk, half and half, or cream.

Note: I add parsley and vegetable broth instead of water if I have it.
