1/2 c. bacon drippings
2 lbs. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped green peppers
1 tbsp. garlic powder
5 tbsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. ground cumin
pinch oregano and red pepper
2 tsp. paprika
2 (1-oz.) cans tomatoes
1 (6-oz.) can tomato paste
3 (21-oz.) cans pinto beans
salt & pepper to taste

Cook meat in bacon fat, add onion, pepper, seasonings and tomatoes. Mix well and cook gently stirring occasionally for 1 1/2 hours. Add remaining ingredients and cook gently stirring occasionally for about 1 hour.
