2 bags fresh or frozen cranberries
3 cups white sugar
1 1/2 pints real whipping cream
2 lbs red grapes
1 cup chopped walnuts
sugar to taste
vanilla to taste

Directions:
Grind cranberries in food processor. Add 3 cups sugar to cranberries. Refrigerate overnight (or at least six hours). Thoroughly drain cranberries, 2-3 hours. Discard juice. Slice grapes in half, remove seeds. Whip whipping cream, add sugar and vanilla to taste. Mix grapes with cranberries, add all but 1/4 cup nuts. Gently fold whipped cream into cranberry mixture. Sprinkle reserved nuts on top.

This is a family favorite I have been making since the early 1970's. I took first place in the salad division for the Advance Newspaper in 2005 with this recipe.
