Notes: You can use boxed chicken broth or you can make your own. Prior to starting the dressing: Put gizzard, heart, liver, etc.[the giblets] from turkey into sauce pan. Add 2 c. water, 2 stalks of celery including leaves, 1 carrot, and 1/2 small onion quartered. Add 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. pepper. Bring to boil and then simmer about 1 hour. Strain mixture through sieve and cool broth before using. I give the giblets mixture to the dog but some people like to use it in gravy. If you use it in gravy, don't invite me.
