1 large pkg lemon jello (or your favorite flavor)
20 oz can crushed pineapple
8 oz whipped topping, thawed
4 T sugar
1/2 tsp salt
chopped nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Drain pineapple and save juice. Add water to pineapple juice to make 2 cups liquid. Add sugar, jello and salt to liquid. Heat to boiling. Chill until it begins to thicken. Whip with mixer until light and fluffy. Stir in whipped topping, pineapple and nuts if desired. Place in serving dish and chill until firm.
