1/2 cup warm water
2 packages dry yeast
1 1/2 cup lukewarm milk
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup soft shortening
7 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Measure warm water and yeast into mixing bowl. Stir it until it dissolves. Stir in the lukewarm milk. Mix in sugar, salt, eggs, shortening and half the flour with a spoon until smooth. Add enough of the remaining flour to handle easily. Mix with hand, keep dough as soft as possible, almost sticky. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Round up in greased bowl. Cover with damp cloth. Let rise till double, 1 1/2 hours. Punch down. Let rise again - about 30 minutes. Divide dough for desired rolls, shape and let rise. Bake buns at 400 for 15 minutes. You can make cinnamon rolls if you wish.

Caramel for Caramel Rolls

1/2 cup butter, 1 cup brown sugar, 6 tbsp. cream, 3 tbsp. syrup

Melt butter on stove and stir in sugar, cream, syrup. Pour in pan and place cinnamon rolls on top. Bake for 25 minutes
