1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. floured blueberries

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Separate 2 eggs. Beat whites until stiff and set aside. Add yolks to shortening and sugar. Combine flour, salt, and baking powder. Add alternately to creamed mixture with milk and vanilla. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Add blueberries. Sprinkle sugar on top. Bake in 9-in. sq. pan (greased and floured) at 350º for 40-45 min.
