Ingredients:
Ingredients:
10-12 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 onion (sautéed in some of the bacon grease until tender)
Cook ½ to 1 cups wild rice to directions on package (I like more rice so I use 1 cup)
1 pint half & half
1 pint milk (I add more milk than this so it isn’t so thick)
3 cans concentrated Potato Soup
1 ½ cups grated American cheese
1 ½ cups grated cheddar cheese
Garlic powder to taste (I also add a bit of Adobe Seasoning)

Directions:
Directions:
In a deep pot combine the cooked rice, onion, bacon, and all the other ingredients.
Heat and serve.

NOTE: this is also delicious when you add some chunks of roasted chicken, if you want a heartier soup.

Personal Notes:
Can't you just smell the autumn leaves!? This is a classic Minnesota soup. You can save on calories by using all milk instead of the half and half--but it is amazing with the half and half! Very rich and creamy! Bon Appetit!
