1 quart (or more) sliced peaches
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. self-rising flour*
1 c. sugar

*if you don't have self-rising flour in your pantry, create your own by adding to 1 c. flour - 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:

Place peaches in the bottom of a 2 quart casserole dish.
Combine the remaining ingredients; mix well and sprinkle over fruit.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes (or until the topping is golden brown).

This recipe was given to me by my hair dresser (that I have had for 24 years). She got it from a Bed and Breakfast owner in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a classic southern dessert! And it is really amazing when made with fresh peaches!
