1 ½ lb. ground beef or lamb
1 medium chopped onion
1-2 c vegetables (chopped carrots, peas, corn)
1 ½ lbs potatoes (3 big ones)
8 T. butter (1 stick )
1/2c beef broth
1tsp. Worcester sauce Salt, ground black pepper and seasonings of choice

Peel and quarter potatoes. Boil in salted water until tender – about 20 minutes.

Melt 4 T. butter in pan; sauté onions and carrots. Add corn and peas when onions and carrots are tender.
Add beef and cook till brown. Drain any excess fat from pan. Add seasonings, Worcester sauce and broth and simmer for 10 minutes.

Mash potatoes with remaining butter.

Place meat mixture in a baking dish and spread potatoes over top. Score or rough up top with a fork so peaks will brown nicely.

Cook in a 400 degree (200c) oven for about 30 minutes or until nicely browned.
