21/2 cups flour (or more)
1 1/4 cups Crisco
3/4 cup cold water
3 TB sugar
1 tsp salt
8 cups peeled sliced apples
1 1/2 cups sugar, combined with 1/4 c flour
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, mixed with water to thin

Blend dough ingredients. This crust needs little handling. It is an ample amount to make 2 single crusts for a raised edge cookie sheet, 12x18 inches.
Divide dough in half. Roll out on a floured surface and cover bottom of pan. Evenly distribute apple slices on crust and evenly distribute sugar/flour mixture over. Over this sprinkle a generous amount of cinnamon.
Roll out 2nd crust, place on top of apples and press edges together, trimming excess crust around edge of pan.
Cut 3-4, 1 inch slits in top crust to vent.
Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. Lower heat to 375 and bake 20 more minutes. Glaze with mixture. cool and slice.
