2 lbs. round steak or lean stew beef, cubed
olive oil
2 bouillon cubes, beef
1 C. ketchup
1/2 C. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. Worchestershire sauce
1 garlic clove, pressed
1/8 c. red wine vinegar
1/4 C. raisins (optional)
1 onion, minced
1/4 C. mushrooms, sliced (optional)
1 tsp. curry powder
1 Tbsp. cornstarch

Toppings:
1 can macadamia nuts, chopped
5 bacon slices, cooked & crumbled
1/2 C. toasted coconut
3 green onions, chopped finely

Directions:
Directions:
Cut beef into small cubes, coat with olive oil, and cook, uncovered in oven at 400º for 30 minutes. Drain. Add 2 cups water with bouillon cubes to meat and simmer 2 hours on top of stove. Add remaining ingredients, except cornstarch and toppings. Simmer 20 minutes. Thicken with cornstarch. Serve over rice. Top with condiments.
