4-5 baking apples,
2 thin slices ham (center cut),
1 tbl. lemon juice,
brown sugar,

Directions:
Directions:
Pare and slice the apples. Trim off fat and cut ham into serving size pieces. Into a baking dish put a layer of ham, cover with sliced apples and sprinkle lightly with brown sugar. Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with the apple slices on top. Sprinkle with lemon juice, cover and bake in moderate oven about 25 min. or until apples are tender. Remove cover and bake 20-25 min. longer, until apples are slightly brown and juice thickens.
