3 cups apples, sliced thin
2 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar, or sweeten to taste

TOPPING:
3/4 cup oatmeal
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup butter, melted


Directions:
Directions:
Combine fruit with first set of dry ingredients.
Pour into bottom of buttered 9" x 9" baking dish. Mix together ingredients for topping. Crumble over fruit. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream while warm.

This is a recipe from my Mom, Susie Linster. Since we moved to Grand Junction I also make it with wonderful Palisade peaches, when they are at their best, usually the middle of August.
