Combine in double boiler:

¾ c. sugar
¼ c. light corn syrup
2 egg whites
2 tbsp. water
¼ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Cook over boiling water, beating constantly until mixture stands in peaks. Remove from heat. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and beat until spreading consistency. Frost two 8 or 9 inch layers. “Never fails or turns sugary”
