Lasagna:
9 Lasagna Noodles (cooked)
1 Lb. Hamburger (lean)
1 Lb. Sausage (Jimmy Dean)
1 Pint Cottage Cheese (small curd)
9 Slices Provolone Cheese
1 Recipe of Sauce (see below)

Sauce
1 (28 oz.) Can Tomatoes (use liquid)
1 (14 oz.) Can Tomatoes (drain the liquid)
1/4 Cup Tomato Paste
2 Cloves Garlic
1 Tsp. Salt
1/4 Tsp. Pepper
1/2 Tsp. Dried Basil
1/2 Tsp. Dried Thyme
1/2 Tsp. Dried Oregano
1 Tsp. Fennel Seeds

Sauce:
In a blender put all sauce ingredients. Blend on high until smooth. Pour into a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn to low and simmer for 45 minutes. You may want to stir it once or twice.

Lasagna:
In a 9x13 baking pan spread a thin layer of sauce. Add the other ingredients in the following order.
1st. Layer: Noodle's, hamburger, sausage, cottage cheese and provolone.
2nd Layer: Sauce, noodles, hamburger, sausage, cottage cheese, provolone.
3rd Layer: Sauce, noodles, provolone and more sauce.
Bake in a 400º oven for 50 minutes. You may need to cover the dish with foil towards the end. Let lasagna sit for 10-15 minutes before serving.
