1 C shortening
2 C sugar
6 eggs whites
3 1/2 C cake flour(sifted)
4 t baking powder
1 C water
1/2 t salt
1/2 t almond
1 t vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and 1 1/2 c sugar, sift flour and salt together. Reserve 1/2 c flour and add baking powder. Add flour and water alternately. Beat egg whites till foamy add sugar slowly, beat until stiff. Fold into mixture last. Bake 350º for 30 to 35 min
