2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
5 c. all purpose flour
¾ tsp. soda
½ tsp. salt
½ c. sugar
½ c. firmly packed brown sugar
½ c. shortening
½ c. peanut butter
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
In a small saucepan, melt chocolate pieces over low heat stirring constantly. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. In large mixing bowl combine remaining ingredients (except melted chocolate. Blend well at low speed. Drop melted chocolate by tablespoonfuls onto dough. Use a knife to cut through the dough a few times to marble. Shape into balls. Place on un-greased cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of glass which has been greased and dipped in sugar. Bake at 375º for 8 to 10 minutes.
