2 ¼ tsp. active dry yeast (or one packet), dissolved in 1 cup lukewarm water
2 cup warm water
2 tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 c. lard
9-10 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Start around 3 p.m. Combine the warm water, lard, sugar, and salt. Add the dissolved yeast. Mix well. Gradually add flour, kneading it in as added; Knead until smooth and elastic (about 15 minutes) Place in a greased bowl and let rise until 6 or 7 p.m. Punch down. Let rise again until about 10 p.m. Punch down and form into buns. Cover with towel and let sit overnight in cool room. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
