Makes 4 large or 8 small servings.

4 apples- peeled, cored, and sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg beaten
2 tablespoons butter melted

Directions:
At home: Prepare apple crisp at home prior to camping.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a 9 inch square baking pan,mix sliced apples with
brown sugar.
In large bowl, mix flour, white sugar,cinnamon and salt.
In small bowl beat together egg and melted butter. Stir into flour mixture. Spread evenly over apples.

Bake in preheated oven for 30 or 40 minutes,or until topping is golden and crisp.



Allow to cool, then cut into serving portions. Wrap in foil.

In camp:

Take foil packets of apple crisp and warm in coals, grill, dutch oven, or box oven to reheat. Serve and enjoy!
