Rosy Rhubarb Cake Recipe

1/2 cup shortening
2 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
6 cups rhubarb, cut up
1 3oz. pkg. strawberry jello

Cut shortening into flour, baking powder, and salt with pastry blender. Add egg and milk. Mix. Spread into greased 9 X 13" cake pan. Top with diced rhubarb.
Mix the following:
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup flour
6 T. soft butter
Sprinkle on top of rhubarb. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes.
