2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1 tsp vanilla
2 egg whites
Black or English walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the first 4 ingredients well and start on low heat. Let it come to a soft ball stage.
Beat 2 egg whites to form a peak while the syrup is heating. When the syrup reaches the soft ball stage, slowly add about 1/4 of the syrup mixture to the egg whites and return the rest of the syrup to the hard ball stage. Fold the remaining syrup into the egg whites gradually. Add chopped nut to taste, if desired.
Drop the Divinity by spoon on to waxed paper untill cooled and set.
