1 1/2 c. milk (scalded)
1/4 c. warm water w/ 1 pkg yeast
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 T. butter or crisco
1 egg
1 1/2 c. raisins covered with water for a few minutes and drained
5- 5 1/4 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve the yeast in warm, not hot, water and set aside.
Scald the milk and pour into a mixing bowl. Add the sugar, salt, shortening and stir until the sugar dissolves. Next add 1 c. flour and mix well then add egg, yeast, and raisins. Add remaining flour, a cup at a time--mix well. Pour the bread on to a floured surface and knead till smooth. Let raise until double in size and punch down. Put in a greased 9x13 inch pan. Top with melted butter and cover with a sugar and cinnamon mix. Let raise until double again. Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes.
