Directions:
Directions:
In 2 Qt saucepan combine butter, syrup, white and brown sugar, and maple flavoring. Bring to boil - Reduce heat a little but keep boiling for several minutes. Test for consistency and thickness by putting a spoonful of the mixture in a cup of water. It should be soft ball stage. When ready, add 1/4 tsp baking soda. Stir fast and while still bubbling pour over popcorn. Works better when you have mom to help stir. Stir fast and mix it in well.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Sometimes I add a little sorghum or maple syrup for flavoring. Early in the soft boil stage makes sticky popcorn, cook a little longer for dry and crunchy carmel popcorn.
