Ingredients: Marinade: step one 1/4 cup fresh lime juice 1/3 cup water 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1/2 tsp. minced garlic 3 tsp. vinegar 2 tsp. soy sauce 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper Dash onion powder Step two 2 boneless skinless chicken breast or 1/2 # of choice sirloin and 1 chicken. breast. 1/2 sliced sweet onion 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms 1/4 tbs. butter dash of garlic salt 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 tsp. soy sauce 2 tbsp. water 1/2 teaspoon fresh lime juice 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper ON THE SIDE salsa grated sharp cheddar cheese sour cream 1 cup of shredded lettuce 6-8 flour tortillas guacamole

Directions:1. Combine all of the ingredients for the marinade in a small bowl for 4-24 hours.(if using beef, 24 hours. make 2 marinades if using chicken and beef never marinade them together) 2. Pre heat BBQ or stove top grill to med/high. 3. over med/high saute the onion slices in the oil for 5 minutes. If using mushroom saute with butter and garlic salt to your taste. 4. add the mushrooms to the onion's ,Combine the soy sauce, water and the lime juice in a small bowl and pour it over the onions/mushrooms put on simmer. 5. spray Pam over a cast iron skillet if you have one and put on high heat.(if no skillet microwave a platter until it is warm to the touch be careful they do break if too hot) 6. cook chicken and steak to they are done. 7. remove and slice into thin bit size strips. 8. steam the tortillas in a moist towel for 30 sec in a microwave and put in a covered container. 9. arrange yours sides on table anyway you prefer. 10 remove the skillet from the heat put the onion/mushroom combination over skillet and add you're meat on the top, it should be steaming. . |
