8 slices bread, butter & garlic powder
6 eggs or egg substitute
1/2 c half & half
1/2 c. white wine
1/2 c. chicken consommé
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 lb. sausage
1 pkg shredded Monterey jack cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Cook and drain sausage. De-crust bread, spread with butter and sprinkle with garlic powder. Place butter side down in 9x13 pan. Combine eggs with Half & half, wine, consommé and mustard. Mix well. Sprinkle sausage over bread and pour egg mixture over entire pan. Cover with cheese . Make the day before and refrigerate. Bake in 350º oven for 45 minutes.

I have used Texas toast for the bread and it works as well. Amounts are relative in this forgiving recipe.
