1 cup sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
1 egg
1/2 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 c.rasins (rinsed in hot water, drained and patted dry)
1/2 c. coarsely broken walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together first three ingredients: add oats. Beat eggs lightly and gradually beat in brown sugar continuing to beat until thick and smooth. Add buttermilk and combine.
Stir in flour-oats mixture, resins and nuts until all dry ingredients are just moistened.
Bake in greased (bottom only) loaf pan 8x4x2 1/2 inches in moderate (350º) oven 50 min. or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
Store tightly covered at least 24 hrs before slicing.
