1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons salad oil

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper together into mixing bowl. Combine milk and salad oil and add all at once to dry ingredients, stirring just till moistened. The dough will be sticky.
Drop from tablespoon atop a bubbling stew
(Homemade chicken soup, for instance). Cover tightly. Let stew return to boiling. Reduce heat (no peeking!!!) Do not lift cover!
Simmer 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 10.
It's ok to double this recipe. You will want enough to share with the rest of the family!

Have the stew ready before you mix the dumplings.
