1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups oatmeal
1 cupchopped dried apricots
1/4 cup dried cranberries
3/4 cup sweetened flaked cocoanut
3/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes the butter and sugars until creamy. On low speed beat in eggs, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, almond extract, and salt. Stir in other ingredients. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for l4 to l5 minutes. Tops should be golden. Cool on wire rack.
