1 c margarine softened
1 c firm packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups Quaker Oats Quick Oats
1 cup raisins or 8 oz dates chopped
Nuts optional

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Beat margarine and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and Vanilla, Beat well. Add dry ingredients except flour. Then flour, dates, and nuts Drop by rounded Tbsps on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 - 12 min. Cool 1 min on sheet. Makes 4 doz.
