1 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla
Italian plums

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Add beaten eggs. Add dry ingredients. Cut plums in half. Put batter in an 8 inch springform pan (parchment paper on bottom). Put plums all over the top (skin side up)
Bake at 350 for 45 min
If making early, and not baking until later so it is served warm, toss the plums in lemon juice first and keep covered in the refrigerater until ready to bake.

This is one of the easiest recipes I have, but it is the best! You can only make this in the summer when the plums are in season. Other times of the year, you can substitute the plums with peaches.
