South African Fudge Recipe

half cup milk
100g (4oz) butter
2 tablespoons syrup (use golden syrup!)
3 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
400g (16 oz) condensed milk
pinch salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Place in it the milk, butter, sugar, syrup and salt.
2.When butter has melted, add the condensed milk.
3. Bring to the boil and continue to boil and stir for another 15 minutes.
4. Carefully add vanilla. Cool to luke warm
5. Beat for a few minutes with an electric beater before pouring in to a foil lined baking tray.
6. Allow to set. Invert and cut into squares.
