3 sticks butter
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
2 cups flour
1 t. vanilla
1/2 cups cocoa
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. baking powder
1 cup milk

Icing:
1/2 stick butter
2 squares chocolate
1 Box Powdered sugar- sifted
1 t. vanilla
About 5 to 6 T. Carnation Evaporated Milk
Mix thoroughly

Cream butter and sugar. Add 1 egg at a time until well-blended. Sift flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder. Add little by little to butter and eggs. Mix altnerately with milk. After thoroughly mixed add vanilla. Beat 2 more mins. Bake 1 1/2 hrs. at 350 degrees. Do not open oven while baking.
