1/2 cup butter
10" round or oval baking dish
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 cups fresh or frozen Blackberries

Dough:
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup milk at room temperature

Directions:
Directions:
Melt 1/2 cup butter in the 10 inch baking dish and set aside.

Heat 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water until the sugar is fully dissolved and set aside.

Make cobbler dough by combining 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup all purpose flour and 2 1/4 tsp. baking powder until particles are like fine crumbs then add milk and stir with fork until dough leaves the sides of the bowl.

Turn dough out on a floured surface and knead 3 or 4 times. Roll out to a 11 x 9 x 1/4 inch thick rectangle. Spread 2 c. fresh or frozen blackberries over the dough. (cut up the large berries) Sprinkle 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon over the berries and roll up like a cinnamon roll.

Cut roll into 1 1/4 inch thick slices and place into baking dish over the melted butter. Pour sugar syrup carefully around the slices.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. 15 minutes before time is up sprinkle 2 T. sugar over the crust.
