2 Tbsp dried onion flakes
2 - 4oz packages of instant mashed potatoes (Idahoan recommended)
2 Tbsp dried green bell peppers or dried celery (optional)

1 - 3oz pouch or bag of bacon bits (such as Oscar Meyer or Hormel)

Salt and pepper to taste

At home: In large zip top bag, add onions, potatoes, and desired vegetables. In small zip top bag, add bacon (if not already in pouch from store).

In camp, boil 8 cups water. Add potato mixture and stir well. Cook for 5 minutes. Cover and allow to sit for 5 minutes. Add bacon bits. Add salt and pepper to taste.
