10 slices of bread - cut into cubes (white bread, day old is fine)
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp cinnamon - ground
1/2 cup raisins - soak in cooking Sherry for 1/2 hour
6 eggs
3 cups hot milk
2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cups sugar
1/2 tsp salt
nutmeg - ground

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º
Combine bread cubes, butter, raisins and cinnamon; mix well and place in 2 qt dish.
Slightly beat eggs.
Stir in sugar, vanilla and salt.
Beat until sugar is dissolved. Add milk to eggs; beat well. Pour over bread cubes and let soak for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle with nutmeg.

Bake for 25 minutes
