3 large double chicken breasts
1 large bunch broccoli or 2 packages frozen
1 can of cream of chicken soup
½ cup mayonnaise - Fran uses 1 cup
½ cup milk – Fran omits this
1 tsp lemon juice
½ tsp curry powder (optional)
8 oz or less Old English Cheddar cheese
1 cup butter bread crumbs (1/2 cup butter melted)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook chicken in salted water with slice of onion and a piece of celery. Cool, bone and break into pieces. Cook broccoli in boiling, salted water for 5 minutes. Arrange broccoli in bottom of greased 2 qt. baking dish. Top with chicken. Mix other ingredients and pour over with cubed or grated cheese. Sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs. Bake 30-45 minutes at 350º. Can be prepared a day ahead and baked right before serving.
This is a Kraus family favorite.

Wonderful – even Franny has this recipe! My girlfriend Christine Ryan served this dinner for us when we visited her in Cincinnati enroute to cousin Fran Kraus’s home in Kentucky. Fran had the same dinner for us the following night. I thought my kids were going to spill the beans, but they didn’t and we saved face! Delicious no matter who fixes it!
