1 C butter
1 C confectioner sugar
1 egg
2 ¼ C all purpose flour
¼ tsp cream of tartar
½ C chopped pecans
½ C chopped mixed candied fruits

Mix butter, sugar and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients. Divide dough in half; shape each half into roll, 1 1/2 diameter. Wrap and chill at least 4 hours. [can be baked immediately]. Rolls of cookie dough can also be frozen for later if you prefer; thaw before slicing. Anne wraps the rolls in wax paper and foil to preserve them.

Preheat oven to 375˚ Cut rolls into 1/8 inch slices; place 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake about 8 minutes. Remove immediately from baking sheet.

Great at Christmas time and easy to ship!
